20, 2020 @ 8:00 AM.

Reminder: Dress for the Weather!!
Ahhhhh Calgary and its weather…. This past week we had Blue Days, which were a
challenge for both students and staff, as we know having that bit of outside time is a natural break for everyone. Next week’s weather may allow students to go
outside! With that in mind please have students dressed in winter gear so they are prepared properly. We know that our students do better when
they have the opportunity to go outside to get fresh air during lunch and
recess.
Report Cards Go Home January 30
All students will receive a report card on Thursday January 30. A
report card is a summary of your child’s achievement from the first term of
school (September - January). When writing a report card, teachers consider the
most current evidence of learning when assigning the 1-4 indicators in each
subject.
The following link is a parent fact sheet that describes what each of the 1-4
indicators represents. New this year are the outcomes in math, now focused on
the concepts to understand in math from the Program of Studies. Report

We invite you for a Coffee & Chat about Reporting
A “Coffee & Chat” opportunity will be hosted on February 11 at 8:30
AM in the Learning Commons with Ms. Belcher & Ms. El-Guebaly. This will not
be a time to discuss specifics about your child’s achievement, but a chance to
ask questions and gain clarity on the report card.
